According to Top #5 Real Estate Web site Trulia.com, there are 2,088 homes in Athens for sale on Trulia. This includes 187 homes in the "pre-foreclosure, auction, or bank-owned stages of the foreclosure process." This is minuscule 8.9 percent level of distressed property as compared to the entire inventory of the area.
Trulia goes on to point out that "The average listing price for homes for sale in Athens GA was $225,520 for the week ending Jul 08, which represents an increase of 0.8%, or $1,876, compared to the prior week."
